FAQ

The cost depends on system size:

1 kW — Rs 65,000–80,000  |  3 kW — Rs 1,80,000–2,20,000  |  5 kW — Rs 3,00,000–3,60,000

Government subsidies of up to Rs 78,000 are available for residential customers under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, significantly reducing the net cost.

Residential installations typically take 3–5 working days from commencement. Commercial installations may take 7–15 days depending on system size and site conditions.

Solar panels come with a 25-year linear performance warranty. Inverters typically carry a 5–10 year warranty, and we offer extended warranty options through our service agreements.

Yes. Solar panels still generate power from diffused sunlight even on cloudy or rainy days. Kerala's rainy season lasts approximately 3–4 months, and all annual generation estimates already account for this. Kerala's average yearly output is calculated at 4 units per kW per day.

A well-sized solar system can reduce your KSEB electricity bill by 70–90%. For example, a household previously paying Rs 5,000/month could see their bill drop to under Rs 500/month after going solar.

Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, residential customers are eligible for:

Rs 30,000 for 1 kW  |  Rs 60,000 for 2 kW  |  Rs 78,000 for 3 kW and above

Aadithya Innovations handles the complete subsidy application process on your behalf.

Yes. Solar loans are available through nationalized banks and NBFCs at competitive interest rates. We assist our customers with loan documentation and applications. Visit our Financing page for more details.

Residential: ROI typically within 4–5 years.
Commercial: ROI usually under 4 years, thanks to higher commercial electricity tariffs, input tax credit, and 80% accelerated depreciation benefits.

Net metering lets you export excess solar electricity to the KSEB grid and receive credit for it. You only pay for the 'net' units consumed (units from grid minus units exported). If you export more than you consume in a year, KSEB compensates you for the excess.

On-grid: Connected to the KSEB grid. More affordable — no batteries needed. Ideal for areas with reliable power supply.

Off-grid: Runs independently using battery storage. Suitable for areas with frequent power cuts or remote locations.

System size is based on your average monthly KSEB consumption:

300–320 units/month → 3 kW system
500–550 units/month → 5 kW system

Solar panels require minimal maintenance. Periodic cleaning every 1–2 months to remove dust is the primary requirement. An annual system health check through our AMC service ensures optimal performance.

Panel life expectancy: 25 years. Grid inverter operational life: 8–10 years.
